OK I Know It's Only March But....

where do most of you see Texas in preseason polls? Are we going to be favored to win the conference or will it be OU again (gag)?

Ask me after Saturday, but from what I read and think, I think Texas has a good chance at winning the conference, as well as beating OU. It really depends on the O-line and D, but I feel confident in the recent changes in coaching, players, etc.... also....

I think we have a good shot, but your question was what the preseason polls will show. In that regard, I believe most of them will pick OU based on combination of winning conf. championship last year and key returning players such as Sam Bradford.

Tech has 18 of 22 starters returning. That's a major concern to me. It's going to be an interesting year. I like how Muschamp recognizes the challenges of the different offenses we will face next season in the second half of this video: Practice Report 3-18

Preseason will most likely be under Oklahoma, but still top 10. The media always seems to have us up way high. I think the post season is going to depend largely on how good we are against the pass, so d-line and secondary.

And since OU will continue to suck and get destroyed in their bowl game they will probably end up behind Texas in the final poll regardless of who wins the conference.

I have a technical question about those videos on the Texas football site - they all play so slowly for me that it's just a stream of various still pictures instead of video - the audio is OK.

Is there a way to let the stream buffer up like on YouTube or to download the video before playing so that I can actually see a moving picture? When I press pause to let it buffer it doesn't seem to keep downloading.

name the year that OU won the conference & finished behind Texas after getting blown out in our Bowl.
I'll be waiting.

You're right '73. It's never happened before. I will try to be a little clearer with my sarcasm to my OU friends in the future. And feel free to send me more e-mails.

Now, '73, as to make my point a little less vague, (my fault), to crow about how you've done in the BSC bowls the last few years is...well...the harsh remark would be typical Okie. My choice? mmm-Hmm, RIGHT! A little clearer now Sparky? That was the point of the post YOU replied to...OU's "suckage" in the bowls. Notice no "OU Sucks" or Pwned here?

Ya, we really have to take care of business if we even want to come out of next season with 10 wins, let alone win the conference. Tech looks scary (most pirates are), and so does Missouri. OU actually scares me a little less than those too, but I guess we can only wait and see.

Bottom line is...(1)OL's better live up to potential, and/or play Chiles more, because he can run for his life better than Colt.
(2)Very talented DE's must dominate, and help overcome thin DT positions. (3)DT must stay healthy...any loss will be big!
(4)LB's must finally make a big impact under Muschamp.
(5)Young running backs need to make their mark...run hard and reduce fumbles. (6)Very young, but extremely talented secondary must step up, and make big plays, as well as defend well against the big offenses of Mizzou, OU, and Tech. (7)TE,TE,TE. I thought Finley would have an All-American season next year, but he chose to leave early. Will anyone be the threat he could have been? Just my opinion of what the players must do, but the coaching is a whole other subject.
As for the original question, I see Texas as a top13 pre-saeson, and top10 post-season, if the question marks I posted get worked out. BTW, My sooner boss says OU 68-Texas 16. If it is ANYWHERE NEAR that bad, I'm gonna beat his ***!~!!

I am with you stat---TT is going to be one scary team this year. That O good just go nuts on anybody. They have their best chance in a long time to be a player on who wins the South or actually win or tie for it themselves. Harrell and Crabtree could be sometihing else. Don't like Harrell's attitude sometimes, but he can play.

It is March.. that means...

Spring game.. then..

Discussing capes and orange pants...

THEN.. discussion of pre-season rankings along with the requisite bitching about Greg Davis.

Now.. commence.

Does anyone else think Darrell Scott will hardly make an impact at CU his first season? I genuinely hope we make the Buffs look silly when we play them.
