and i have NOTHING against the staff at orangebloods. i love their support, hard work and inside scoop. it is awesome and they're the best at what they do

but why on earth would they send someone to scott's high school the day before to report hearsay? they're pretty much there on behalf of the University of Texas. unofficially.

it just seems stalkerish to go to a kid's high school the day(s) leading up to NSD when the kid has repeatedly said he was not going to announce his decision until wednesday.

Wake me when this is over.

It's one of the best sites in the entire rivals network for a reason. They have one of the largest subscription rates on the network and Texas has one of the most demanding fanbases in all of college sports. They cover recruiting from every angle and they do good business because of it. If there wasn't a demand from their subscribers then they wouldn't go.

It's just like the Austin American-Statesman, just without the tradition of a newspaper. It's a professional news publication - they both want to sell as many subscriptions as possible - and Orangebloods is doing what it has to do for it's readers.

boo. i love that they are possibly blowing Texas' chances for a prized recruit because of greed.

GOO great post and I agree with your view point on the issues raised. This is the number 1 reason why I do not subscribe with those CS services.

In the end it just doesn't matter. We are Texas and we will win with them and we will win with out that individual top stud because in the end someone will step up and we will get our fair share.

maybe not a "news reporter" but the staff at OBs does report "recruiting news" either way their job is to gather information and report it to the general public, all the while making an extra dime on the side. considering the amount of time i spend on this site and OBs i would love to have their job and they do a fine job of reporting news regarding Texas.

i have nothing against the guys. i consider geoff a great guy. ... and i love the info i get from them including this scott drama. maybe they won't cost us a recruit, but with scott's family i can definitely seeing that being an issue.

they need to just respect his space. that is all i'm saying. he said he'd announce today and not a minute sooner than planned.
