Ohio State's new 2008 ticket lottery outrages alumni

Wow, 4,500 ticket applicants (about 10% of the total) are now out of luck. Now, any dues-paying alumni member who applies for tickets must be chosen and assigned to a game at random and may then purchase two tickets, under the new lottery system. The process is the same whether you've been buying Buckeyes football tickets for 50 years or are buying for the first time.

Until this year, the alumni association allowed members to apply to buy tickets to certain games based on an alphabetized system. It considered seniority when there were more applicants than tickets.

The new system randomly selects members to apply to buy tickets for each specific game. The Alumni Association mailed 91,857 total football applications to members. Forty-eight percent of those members applied for the ticket lottery.

I wonder if the brawl at the MLS Soccer game there had anything to do with their rage. See, even if they all got tickets they would riot and cause damage. They are a douchebag fanbase. A culture rife on burning and destroying.

What is comical is that their rival, a school with national respect and much MUCH classier than they are, is called scUM by them. Ironic since Ohio State is the scum.

Sucks for the fans not getting tickets though. Free's up some cash to get a sofa or car to burn. Maybe they can just thug up to women and kid visiting fans in the parking lot and bars! They can level shoulders into the men looking after said women and kids. But this only works when they outnumber them 4 to 1 or more.

They cannot have enough bad or negative things happen to them.

call me crazy, but if you're going to pay dues just to get tickets to 1 or 2 games a year, why not just use a ticket service or CL and ditch the dues? probably end up paying the same and you'll have more choice of where your tickets are.
