Austin Myers ..... Manvel (Manvel, TX)
4-star ..... OG ..... 6-4.5/291 ..... TCU

Per Scout:
Big and powerful offensive lineman who uses [those] to his advantage. He plays right tackle in high school, but may be best suited to move to the interior in college where he can use that size to fend off bigger and stronger inside defenders. He is a good run blocker who plays low. His lower base is thick and strong to stand his ground. Will still need to continue to work on his agility for securing second level blocks.

As a junior in 2014, Myers helped Manvel to a District Championship earning 22-6A Second Team All-District and Honorable Mention All-State honors.

Per IT:
I think he could play right tackle, but your line would be at its best with him at guard. He shows real power at times, the ability to reach guys to his outside and a nice shuffle that keeps him well balanced.

Good techniques and footwork. Strong. Seals off running and passing lanes. Quick to get downfield and block. Good offer!

Per 247Sports:
Myers has good length and could be someone who can fill multiple spots on a depth chart at either tackle or guard. Ideally, he's a guy who can stick at tackle due to having good feet and showing the ability to deal with edge rushers on an island at the high school level.

He had a good showing at The Opening Regional - was good in one-on-one situations and his ability to work in space and get the second level gives a college line coach a lot to work with.
