My previous thread made me want to hear some of you other musicmakers out there on hornfans. Please post a link to your tunes here so we can all check them out.

Randomly clicked on zalienman's link -- NICE. The first tune ("The Writer DEMO") had a strong Elliot Smith vibe going on. "Every Moment" feels like it could have been written by Aimee Mann. The production is terrific, and the performances are first-rate. This is major label material. (Sorry, that's not intended to be an insult.) Feels like you're cheating -- bunch of ringers, aren't you? Great stuff.

I'll listen to more links later . . . if someone can host for me, I'll rip some mp3s from an old band that got a little attention and put them up.

Listening to Ramsalot's band now -- and I think it's just as good as zalienman's! Great hooks, great songs. Rootsier, but not just alt-country by a long shot.

Thanks guys, glad you're enjoying the music. Yeah, Jon Brion is pretty much totally awesome. The music offered up on here is quite good so far. Better than I was expecting honestly.

Also, Ramsalot is an acquaintance of mine and his band is very cool live, and there is always good-looking talent running around. Which is why I have REPEATEDLY tried to get him to do shows in Houston with us. Where's the love?

thanks guys. we're in the studio here in LA at the moment working on a new album and it's sounding pretty good so far. we're recording with charles newman who produced the latest magnetic fields album "distortion"...which is great if you haven't heard it yet. doug pettibone(lucinda williams, mark knopfler) is coming to the studio tonight to lay down a bunch of pedal steel, which is exciting. we should have some new stuff up in about a month, and i'm sure i'll come on here and ask for your opinions.

sorry grandioso, only played there once since we moved out here, but hopefully we can finally get a show with you guys next time we're in texas.
