I truly thought we would be better this year without Durant. As good as he was, we got too bogged down offensively at times. And the biggest factor was we were so young everywhere else on the court. The fact that everyone was back besides KD and had massive amounts of playing time was an easy indicator that we could be pretty freaking good this year.

Now if DJ leaves, then we will definately see a drop off next year unless Balbay is really really good. I've never seen him play but I would have to guess he's not as good as DJ (hardly anyone in the country is).
