Texas has offered a 5* defensive end from Arizona and he thinks very highly of us!!! Apparently we have been talking to him since before signing day. He is number 9 overall in the national top 100.
 
I think the new OOS recruiting policy can be directly traced back to "Coach Boom Mother ******"!

But I agree I am glad we are starting to look else where and using our name (damn it we are TEXAS) to get some of these top kids. I still want our team built mostly of Texas kids, but if we can get kids who WANT to be a Longhorn I have absolutley have no problem with that either.
 
It's Muschamp. Someone is cutting though the BS these days, and the new guy probably made going after the good recruits a condition in his employment. Not that Mack didn't want the really good ones, just that he was no longer going after them if they were out of state. Well well....new blood strikes again.
 
I just hope all of you aren't riding his *** after some of these dudes don't pan out.

Simply offering out of state kids is great, but it only hepls the program if they say yes.

We can't change what happened before and we also can't stop all Texas players from leaving for OU. I am just happy we are being a little more proactive about getting OOS recruits. BMF has to have played some role in this and I think Major will do the same. Me thinks the next ten years will be a great time to be a HORN.

My Dad came up with "Coach Boom Mother ******"

I showed him the Auburn Youtube link when the rumors began about him coming to Texas and the 1st thing he said after watching the clip was, "We need Coach Boom Mother ****** here at Texas".

That MIGHT have been the 3rd or 4th time I had EVER heard him say the words Mother ******.

I told him I agreed!

There IS a new sheriff in town boys.... and some things are gonna change.

Sheriff Muschamp is going to attract some top talent because of who he is. These players want to play for a winner and a guy that can help them get the most potential out of themselves.
 
I wonder how much our thumping of Arizona State helped out with this. I assume a lot. Not only was it a nationally watched game but quite hyped in Arizona. Erikson and what he did to turn the team around created buzz.

I think aggy will get lots of buzz from their bowl wi...their bowl vic...okay, so they cannot recruit Pennsylvania, no problem. They will just have to have us and other schools cherry pick the vast majority of kids they want.
