Interesting quote from a HoopGurlz article discussing Baylor...

"The only piece lacking is a point guard and that should be addressed if and when 2010 prospect Odyssey Sims re-pledges to Baylor, as expected."

Seems to me that Kelli Griffin is going to be fairly steady at the point until Sims gets on campus (if she goes to Baylor). It should also be fun to watch Wilson and Griner roaming the paint together swatting shots.

I've read some articles that state she is more suited for shooting guard than point guard. This past summer, when she and Lauren Flores played with Griner on the DFW Elite team, it was Flores who was playing point guard, if i remember corrrectly.

So, it will be interesting to see which position she wants to play, and where she ends up projecting at the collegiate level.

There are so many fabulous guards in the state of Texas for 2010, that I can't decide which ones would be part of my "dream" scenario. The abundance is great for us as we'll need to replace Cortijo, Arriaran, and Raven.

And of course, with Cassie Peoples being class of 2011, it will be interesting to see in which direction our staff goes with these dynamic playmakers. I'm not sure which are better suited for PG/SG, and which are more penetrators versus shooters, but I'm sure they all bring many things to the table.
