Ocho Cinco to cost mucho dinero

That is crazyness. If a player wants to change his number he has to pay out the nose?!? Damn I hope they tell them that when they sign up. I am having flashbacks to high shcool when it was sign up on a sheet of paper what number you want.

The player buys inventory? That sounds bogus. But the NBA does make a player give a season's notice before changing a number. I suppose that would apply to a name change as well.

So are we to believe then that evil Roy Williams bought every unsold Cowboys #31 in the nation so he could switch to 38?

And who is responsible for unsold jerseys if a player gets traded or cut?

This is straight ********. So are we to believe that if Cassius Clay or Lew Alcindor wanted to change their names they would have to buy up all their unsold jerseys?

The funny thing is, if there is a person on Earth who would actually follow through with purchasing all of the jerseys, it is Mr. Ocho Cinco.

What if gay marriage is one day fully legalized, and a gay NFL player gets married and wants to change his last name?

Dude should buy them all then make a freakin fortune selling them as throwbacks in a few years. It would be like owning the guys rookie card. He has a major breakout year in the next 5 and those things are selling for about $1000 a peice.

Will he have to change his name again and buy all the "Ocho Cinco" jerseys when he finally realizes that 85 in Spanish is actually "Ochenta Cinco"?
