Occupy Movement: violence necessary

Occupy L.A. Speaker: “One of the speakers said the solution is nonviolent movement. No, my friend. I’ll give you two examples: French Revolution, and Indian so-called Revolution.

Gandhi, Gandhi today is, with respect to all of you, Gandhi today is a tumor that the ruling class is using constantly to mislead us. French Revolution made fundamental transformation. But it was bloody.

India, the result of Gandhi, is 600 million people living in maximum poverty.

So, ultimately, the bourgeoisie won’t go without violent means. Revolution! Yes, revolution that is led by the working class.

Long live revolution! Long live socialism!”

Crowd: [Cheers.]

although the press would like for you to believe this is a grass roots, non-violent movement, its not. they would rather you believe the tea party grandma baking cookies is the real terrorist.

Really, this is nothing. Just wait until someone in Washington actually has the guts to make the necessary and real cuts to government cheese. That is when it is going to hit the fan.

Considering there were no arrests at tea party demonstrations, no mounds of trash left behind, no threats to protest at individuals' homes, no calls for people to be beheaded or otherwise violently removed, I don't see the comparison.

In that case I would advocate a government that does nothing worthy of overthrow. To be clear, I would say it is a bad idea to pass legislation that is thousands of pages long in the middle of the night. That kind of government is absolutely worthy of overthrow. The thing that makes you uneasy makes me proud -- that folks are finally paying attention.

Oh and save your race card.

Corporate profits as a percent of the economy are near a record all-time high. With the exception of a brief happy period in 2007 (just before the crash), profits are higher than they've been since the 1950s. And they are VASTLY higher than they've been for most of the intervening half-century.

Put differently, this is the lowest percentage of Americans with jobs since the early 1980s (And the boom prior to that, by the way, was from women entering the workforce).

There's a reason a whole lot of people are incredibly pissed off right now. Here's some more charts for your viewing pleasure, but beware, there are dirty words after the jump: Source

if one wants to take pride in a bunch of angry, bigotted, mean spirited thugs, they should knock themselves out.

are we talking about the 700 arrested in NY and those pissing and shitting in the streets or the handful of rednecks at the tea party rallies carrying signs like "you can pry my gun from my cold dead hands" type dude who didnt bother anybody around him other than the NY times photographer taking his picture?

the guys who spat and called john lewis the n word

I think breitbart offered a million dollars to anyone that brought foward their camera evidencing the alleged allegation. for some reason, none of the hundreds of cameras present recorded anything.

I'll take the word of a civil rights hero and someone who's referred to as the "conscience of the Congress"

breitbart didn't claim anything, he just offered a million bucks to anyone that did. lewis could probably find racism in the astronomical term "black hole." others have.
