Obscure country music lyric question

There was a song that 95.3 and 99.5 in Dallas used to play. (99.5 would play it during their Texas Country thing on Sunday nights.)

Anyway, it was sung by a woman and the song was about how she wished she'd learned to rope and ride beneath the Western skies or something like that.

Would anyone have the foggiest idea who that is or what the name of the song is? I've been trying to remember that for years and I thought I'd ask everyone on here.

I just looked those songs up in iTunes. No luck.

I remember her being a woman with a somewhat odd name. Maybe that helps...
