Obama needs to explain himself

The failure to publicly acknowlege terroristic threats to US interests in Libya is making Obama look, at best, misleading and at worst a lying bungler. I've watched his administration being taken to task by Congress and CBS news and no response they have made has given me confidence that we're hearing from courageous leaders who want to be straight with us.

Obama needs a Teddy Roosevelt moment or three when the debate starts Tuesday or I'm ready to put a Ryan-Romney sign in the front yard.

This is a bit surprising. In the national security context, it's pretty easy to come up with a politically acceptable lie. Couldn't they just claim that they initially lied about what happened to keep the terrorists from knowing we were on to them? If you're willing to BS, it's just not that hard.

Pretty strong column and opinion. The most damning for BO is that under any of the plausible scenarios for his actions, none are good. We are only talking levels of incompetetence, but incompetence none the less.

To me, this is, again, symptomatic of BOs presidency. Hir hope and change really is him hoping things change. They flushed trillions into the economy and hoped it would turn. They campained furiously while our Embassies asked for help and they hoped nothing bad would happen.

Biden's lame attempt to blame this on the intelligence comunity and the state dept is maybe the biggest joke of all. I do not, for one second, believe what Biden and BO are saying in regards to what they knew and when. But, even if we give them the benefit of the doubt, why haven't heads rolled? An ambassador publicly muredered by foreign terrorists where that very ambassador begged for military protection? BO doesnt deny that the help was asked for, but he hasnt fired the person who didnt act on the request? Unbelievably weak. And the youtube story? Why havent we heard Susan Rice or Hillary admit they were wrong and that they didnt tell the president? Because its not true and they dont want to go to jail for either lieing to the president or failing to provide security to our people.

He also needs to explain why he only attended an average of 43% of intel meeting his first two years and an average of only 38% in the last two years in office. Maybe he and Joe would have known about the threat in Banghazi if attending instead of appearing on the "View." I laugh when they say he can do intel stuff on the phone. Well if that's the case why can't he attend the intel meeting and phone in to the view? This guy doesn't do his job PERIOD!

I don't understand why the Obama administration walked themselves into this mess. I don't see how being truthful from the get go would have hurt them.

Because they said that killing bin Laden sent Al Qaeda running. And to admit he was wrong would be unacceptable. So lie, lie, obfuscate and hope fools believe you.
