Obama does indeed care: Medicare drug gap reduced

I put rainbow sprinkles on a cup cake. It made it better and i really do care. Nevermind the worms and dirt in the actual cake.

One thing I think a little bizarre is that instead of offering their own version of health care reform, the Republicans are advocating heavily for a return to what was considered a flawed system previously. Is it because "no" is simpler to sell? or are there a lot of constituencies and contributors who want things to go back to the way they were? I'm thinking government could take a role in making health care more affordable and getting more people insured. You don't have to work hard to find a lot wrong with Obamacare, but I'd get a lot more excited if someone would put forward some meaningful fixes for the most egregious problems instead of wanting to pretend the 2008 election never happened or that health care was on a path to sustainability with reasonable economic costs . Is there some way to provide costs-be- damned the best health care in the world for those willing to pay for it and have a second tier where sore elbows stay sore a long time before you pay for an MRI and illnesses get treated by a competent doc in a drab office who prescribes generic drugs first and goes for the expensive ones only when they are absolutely needed?

what is going to be funny and sad is when the bill takes effect, if it isnt repealed. I already know of a few companies that are going to stop covering their employees all together and leave them to find their own insurance. the penalty is about $2500 but the cost to insure the employee is 10,000 on avg and that is going to go up about 50%.

reminding us of that famous claim of 35's
;'I am not sure that it is wise to argue with someone with a pre pre-med degree"
is good for another laugh.

anybody who would propose a 3.8 trillion budget with 2.1 trillion in revenue is too stupid to ever serve as president....oh wait....

I've yet to hear a good argument as to why an insurance company should be forced to pay for something that occurred before someone was a paying customer. Put another way, why should paying customers pay premiums to cover someon who is not a paying customer? Nuts.

The coverage gap, or donut hole, or "suck hole" as one gal told me, is going to be phased out over the next 10 years as part of healthcare reform. I believe half of that comes from the pharmaceutical side and half of that comes from the retail pharmacy side. Not a great thing for pharmacy. My guess is that instead of waiting 20 minutes for somebody at Walgreen's to pick up the phone it will be 40 minutes in the coming years.

You have to wonder what percentage of doctors will see medicare or medicade patients in the future. Can they afford to do so under the new pay plans?
