Obama Denies death Benefits

The White House claimed the Defense Department had no choice but to withhold military death benefits during the partial government shutdown.

Not so, says a legal opinion from the non-partisan Congressional Research Service issued Thursday.

Sad that the POTUS would withhold death benefits to military families or try to show some leadership rather than using it politically. Possibly the worst leader in history.

This really is amazing, that he'd take that stand over this issue.
Even after the house voted 425-0 on a piece of lege to restore those benefits to families of military members who died serving our country ( isn't it BO's country too?) he said he would veto it since fisher house stepped up and is giving the money.

How about our country's gov't doing the right thing?

After saying legislation was not necessary for this since Fisher house was taking care of it BO back tracked and signed the lege.
Hew as against it a day before he was for it..

keep in mind the issue is lack of leadership.

Hagel and the DOJ both blocked it, also. The entire administration dicked this up. BO is the king of executive orders. He could have fixed this. Every prez except BO would have had this fixed the minute they heard about it. BO is out for maximum pain.
