Obama: $60M in February?

These amounts are insane, but as someone pointed out on that board as the threat of Hillary winning this goes down and down the number probably wont hit $70M for Feb. Still $60M is mind boggling.

I thought money in politics was BAD???

In all seriousness, SH is correct. The "bad money" is when a select few controls the political establishment through their wealth. When ordinary people get involved in the process, due to small contributions or otherwise, that is good for democracy. That is what we want.

$2,300.00 to keep the Clintons out of the White House and off my TV screen (for the most part) for the next four to eight years is money well spent!

I'd be interested in seeing the Gini index for the donations. The Gini index was originally developed to measure income inequality in nations but could probably work well with campaign donations although with the top donation capped out at $4,600 it will be much different than national indexes.

Can a donor give all $4,600 right now? Or must they only give $2,300 now and wait for a certain date to pass to give up to $2,300?

Bush raised $100 million under the same laws as Obama and he tried to buy the election.

Obama raised something close to a $billion dollars and it's just ordinary people who want change.

Got it.
