well at least to the family of the citizen we killed according to the Charlotte Observer the Obama state dept called the family of Samir khan
You know one of the American citizens BO killed. If true this is one of the more bizarre acts of Obama

from link
"An official from the U.S. State Department has called the Charlotte family of al-Qaida propagandist Samir Khan to offer the government's condolences on his death in a U.S. drone attack last week in Yemen, according to a family spokesman.

"They were very apologetic (for not calling the family sooner) and offered condolences," Jibril Hough said about the Thursday call from the State Department to Khan's father, Zafar.

The phone call came a day after the family released a statement through Hough that condemned the "assassination" of their 25-year-old son - a U.S. citizen - and said they were "appalled" that they had not heard from the U.S. government to discuss their son's remains or answer questions about why Khan was not afforded due process.

On Friday, State Department spokesman Harry Edwards confirmed to the Observer that the call had been made, but said "privacy issues" kept him from offering details.

This sounds like something a Banana republic Dictator would do.

He only did this because Osama bin Laden called all the families of people killed on 9-11. That's where he got the idea.

Did Obama send condolences to the Bin Ladens too?
What a compassionate guy!

Must be that whole" I am an intrument of God" thing he has going

I don't really follow your arguments all that well. I thank God for little favors.

You would be taken more seriously if you at least tried to present some level of objectivity.

What do You think the objective was of the Obama admin sending condolences to the family of an American citizen he ordered killed?
You are the one who borught up osama so I figured you were saying Obama also sent codolneces to the Osama family.
if that is not what you were saying what was the purpose of your post?

Really? That's what you figured?

Well Duh Per
This is a thread about the bizarreness of Obama sending condolences to an American citizen he killed
So WHY did you mention osama?

**** that "American citizen".

he was a traitor to this country, and being in the line of fire, deserved being blown away.

If this story is really true, it is beyond bizarre. Calling the parents of a man you had killed to offer them condolences? On what? That it was quick and he didn't suffer?

On a side note, I hate the well Bush did it too or BO did it too posts, but, in this specific case, I am quite certain that there would have been much greater of a protest from the left if Bush had ordered this killing of an American citizen.

I wonder about you sometimes.

If Obama sent condolences to the dead guy, then that is strange. I thought he sent regrets to the family.

meso
how can a lefty be so brain warped that he would think it is ok for BO admin to authorize the killing of a citizen ( even an evil citizen) AND offer condolences to his family?

how can a far righty be so consumed with blind hatred of Obama that he will ***** more abt some State Dept flunky calling an American terrorist's family and blaming that on Obama than on the fact that an American traitor has been eliminated?

but then your hatred is evident on everything you post here.

Khan's parents apparently tried everything they could to dissuade him including having Muslim clerics talk to him about the dangerous path he was taking, to no avail.

"The Call" was a reachout to a grieving family who lost a son in the war on terror, a war in which he willingly participated in despite his family.

But like you, his family asked ""Being a law abiding citizen of the United States our late son Samir Khan never broke any law and was never implicated of any crime.

"The Fifth Amendment states that no citizen shall be “deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law” yet our government assassinated two if its citizens. Was this style of execution the only solution? Why couldn’t there have been a capture and trial? Where is the justice? As we mourn our son, we must ask these questions."

Maybe you should send them a card or flowers.
