NW Austin Apartment Suggestions?

183/Mopac/360 area in general - looking for an apartment for myself and my 2 boys (ages 5 and 3) - so a place family friendly with a playscape, pool, etc would be ideal

Many of the ones around the Arboretum area are aging. There is a nice one that sits right between PF Changs and Great Hills Baptist. On down 360 at 2222, there is the fairly new complex on the hilltop on the northwest corner -- looks very nice.

I would look in the Far West / Mopac area. The neighborhood is very safe. There is a wide range of prices. This area is big for grad students, young professionals, and some families (I see families walking around all the time). None have play-scapes though.

Check at the Marquis at Caprock Canyon. It's on Spicewood Springs Rd, near Mesa Drive, between Mopac and 360.

It's a really nice quiet community built into the woods. Very family friendly. I lived there about a year and highly recommend it.

thanks for the suggestions...wound up going with Estates at Quarry Lake (Braker/183) - the location is convenient, and the fact that it has 2 pools and a 3/4 mile jogging/bike trail around the quarry itself sold me
