I Went to the AZ/Texas game in Tulsa and was surprised to see that 80% o the KU fans were rooting against us. It really pissed me off. We beat them a couple times every decade and all of the sudden they hate us??
They could have moonwalked to the championship but instead they choked. Couldnt have happpened to a nicer bunch.
Yeah, I heard about that (Tulsa). I too was hoping Kansas would go down, they drove me to it with their constant anti-Texas sentiment. Today couldn't have happended to a more deserving bunch of KU chumps. They always root against Texas in KC at the B12 tournament, too, no matter who we're playing or what we're seeded. I don't get the basis of their hatred toward Texas either - they have the basketball history, tradition etc - not us - we beat them only occasionally (unfortunately) and yet they act like we're some sort of rival. Maybe someday we can compete with them consistently on their level, but I don't understand their out and out vemon toward Texas right now.
While I normally consider this type of gloating to be bad form I have to agree that Kansas and in particular, the Morris twins did not deserve to win it all this year. They seemed to operate with a punk mentality and yet the media seemed to go out of their way to ignore this side of their character....
VCU guard Joey Rodriguez counted one of Kansas' vaunted Morris twins -- Marcus or Markieff -- as one of those many doubters. During a pregame captains meeting with officials, Rodriguez said one of the brothers offered him some parting words: "The run ends here."
I just wanted to come back to this thread and make it clear that I have never hated Kansas before. That is until this year with all of the **** they talked not only to us during the Big 12 CCG but to each of the teams they played in the tourney.
So **** YOU KANSAS!!!! And **** YOU MARQUEEF. 2 years in a row you ************* have provided me with the sweet taste of your tears.
I normally don't like the term choke applied to sports losses, but if there was ever a choke, this is exhibit A.
Kansas had as easy a path as you could ever find all the way to the final game. VCU didn't make Kansas miss all those free throws. And Kansas was something like 2 for 21 from the 3-point line. Their guards, three great ones which almost any team in the tourney would trade for, couldn't get out of their own way.
Yeah, in a one and done tournament, a hot three-point shooting team can oust anyone, but Kansas combined this with complete ineptitude. They choked if any team has ever choked.
So to all you KU fans doing the Horns down sign from the stands on TV...hahahahahahahaha.
Karma is a *****. They had a red carpet to the Final Four and decided to bully all the little guy teams on the way there. Finally one of the little guys stood up and laid their *** out. And it was a serious *** whipping, not a hang-on luck job. And they deserved all of it and the fallout they are getting from their punkass behaviors. Teams like that have no business being champions, and the funny thing is most of the time teams that thug around eventually lose to lesser teams who believe in one another and respect the game and opponenets. In the end, they can hate us all they want. They were 1-1 against us this season, with both games in their backyard. Yeah, they won the big one, but still played in their backyard with 99% fan support. Last I checked we ended their 69 game home win streak as well. After all has been said and done, I feel pretty good about our run-ins this year and how it all ended. By that I just mean the ways we lost in the tourney. I'd rather get screwed in a game we should have one against a very good opponent, then get ***** slapped by VCU after having the Final Four basically handed to them.
