... I'm looking to maybe move providers. I have Grande right now, but its HD offerings leave a bit to be desired. Only 24 channels for $10 a month. Anyone know of a place to compare packages and program offerings side-by-side? Thanks in advance.

Myke, tell your Grande cohorts to up their HD package like yesterday and I'll gladly stay. But their current offering is pathetic. Especially considering I'm paying an additional $10 a month for an hd dvr.

There's no monthly fee on the dish dvr if you hook a phone line up to it. Direct tv has more hd channels, but I believe it's also more expensive. Dish has a better dvr imo. Both of their hd channel count is inflated. They do things like count every single NBA league pass channel as a separate HD channel.

We have dish but the package is 20 and honestly we don't watch most of the HD channels besides yout typical ESPNs, TNT, HGTV and a couple others.

I have Direct TV and my parents have Dish Network, everything being equal I'd go with Dish Network as their HD DVR is far superior.

I choose purely on number of HD channels offerred that I watch, thus I have Direct TV

Comcast is the suck, TWC might be alright but when I last had them prior to becoming Comcast in Houston, I was still pissed that ESPN2HD wasn't available.

BTW, you have to look at total HD channels that you will watch and that have content. I have Nickelodeon HD however there is no programming for it in HD thus my son can watch Spongebob but it still isn't HD.

Heck, even NFL Network alone is more than TW has. By then I should have an HD to watch all the Horns.
