Born at 7:17 this morning, in a birthing pool, at home: granddaughter Amelia Lucile 9 pounds 10 ounces, Already dubbed Emmy Lou by Grandpa. Great-grandma Emilie pronounced her name as in Old Country, Eh-mill-ya, sounds the same as new spelling, no problems there.
First child of the parents, who are, as new parents ALWAYS are, describable by a single word: STUNNED.
Me and Grandma? Stoked.
Respond with address to send cigar (you can have my share - I turn green from the taste of tobacco ever since I swallered a chaw of Red Man when a line drive hit me in the stomach and knocked me off the mound when I was sixteen).
(Swear I posted this earlier, but haven't seen it show up... probably got it in wrong place, maybe as a response instead of a noo wun.)
