Should be an awesome under-the-radar game. Great offense vs. great defense. This is the kind of game that makes March Madness so much fun.

Everyone thinks Harangody is a beast down low, but i think the Cougs big Australian will throw him around like a rag doll. Kevin Love looked like he'd been hit by a bus after playing Wazzu.

I'm thinking 70-62 Wazzu.

Notre Dame lost to both of the BE teams that play defense like WSU, Georgetown and Louisville.

I thought G Mason had a chance to beat them, like I thought ORU had a (smaller) chance to beat Pitt, but neither of those teams could find the basket with a map.

I'm in Denver for this opening round. I was impressed with Notre Dame. I think thye win this one. The WSU fans are whiney ******* - almost KSU'ish.

Wazzu up by 17, playing great fundamental basketball. Notre Dame has no answer on offense. Harangody looks totally frustrated.

Is Weis now helping out with the hoops team? He is prob. as good a college basketball coach as he is a football coach. I wonder if he was even good in the pros if you take away the illegal filiming they were doing while he was there.

From a basketball purist perspective, this turned out to be an entertaining game. The defense-oriented team turned out to dominate the clash of styles. A twenty point thrashing of one of the best teams in the Big East. Held Notre Dame to their lowest point total in 35 years.

What's so impressive about Wazzu, is how their offensive style makes their defense so much tougher. They make their opponents run through multiple screens for 25 seconds on each possession. That just takes the legs out their opponents and they end up shooting around 30% every time.

Texas will never play ball like this because we can recruit better athletes than most, but it's entertaining to see executed so well.

North Carolina better not overlook Wazzu.

I love watching Kyle Weaver.

I think someone (Mavs, please?) is going to grab him late in the first round of the draft, switch him to point full time, and get an absolute steal.
