Norman -- 6th best place to live????

Sorry if this is a rehash of another thread, but I just about choked on my bagel this morning, and have to get something off my chest.

According to CNNMoney.com (a reprint from Money Magazine, I think), the 6th best small town in America is ... Norman, OK.

Norman edged out Round Rock, TX, which took 7th place.

Deeper down the list, rationally sets in, with Texas taking 13 of the top 100, and Oklahoma taking only 2. But still -- Norman? #6?

coincidentally, it didn't rank in the top 100 of friendly places for gay people to visit.

seriously though, have you ever been there? it is pretty typical surburban town, but has OU and some decent restaurants/shopping. it is cheap to live and things like traffic don't ever come into play except by the casino on friday (pretty amazing) and during game days.

it is a nice town. not as affluent as round rock, but has it's fair share affluent neighborhoods. but think how much cooler round rock would be if UT was there instead of dell.

Seriously, Norman ain't that bad.

I'd rate it #3 among Big 12 towns behind Austin and Boulder.

Seriously, Norman IS that bad.

I wouldn't rank Norman in the top 6 in the state of Okiehoma, much less the nation.
