I'm not sure, but I think he'd have to divest his interersts in minor league clubs not affiliated with the Rangers. But if this is the case, couldn't he just give it outright to Reed and Reese?

Although why the commissioner of baseball can be an owner is beyond me ...

He doesn't own the brewers anymore, although his daughter did for quite awhile (ala your Reid / Resse comment).
