I still think that it is funny that Democrats (Bill Clinton first in 1992 & now Obama) try so hard to connect themselves with JFK and his presidency.

The two greatest things JFK did were:
1) Call himself a donut in Berlin.
2) Stand up to the USSR (which he had to) after being such a ***** with them in Europe that they thought they could run over us.

Why would anyone want to connect themselves with that?

Hell. JFK, RFK, & MLK were all philanderers. Is Obama trying to tell us something?

This correlation with JFK has little to do with JFK's short term as president.

Although I can argue with you about what he was able to accomplish, I won't because it is not important in this response.

Obama is being compared for the way in which he is able to bring people together and generate buzz. His persona as a leader is the impressive thing, much like JFK.

Now many people feel this is overrated and not important in the president of the U.S.

I disagree whole heartedly.

Take our current president, his inability to bring people together and generate initiatives that the ENTIRE country can get behind is his biggest downfall.

Go watch JFK the movie and listen to the quote where Jim Garrison says that the presidents main goal is to speak of this nations hope for peace.

mario coumo was a wonderful speaker, too. he inspired the **** out of the democrats.

you know, these wonderful democrat talkers copy each other, they say pretty much the same thing - america sucks, evil corporations, do it for the kids, soldiers = baby killers, yada yada yada. hell, they all plagarize marx and mussilini so it makes little difference because they're copying the wrong stuff.
