No Texans vs. Redskins Game in DFW?

Can anyone explain why the Texans vs. Redskins game is not being televised in DFW on CBS at 3pm. The Cowboys game is at noon so there is no interference there. I never understood why Houston gets both games but DFW typically just shows the Cowboys game.

Below is a view of the coverage map

The coverage map states per NFL rules it is not being shown. I guess there is a Jerry Jones clause in there as well: "no other Texas NFL team coverage in my town".

The 'game not shown' only applies to games in the same time slot; apparently Dallas' CBS affiliate would prefer not the show the Texans in Jurrah's market...******* shocking...

I think it's a hometown NFC vs. AFC thing. Houston get's 2 NFC and 1 AFC. Dallas probably get's 2 AFC and 1 NFC. No idea why they do it that way.

CBS and Fox rotate weeks the networks get a doubleheader, It's an NFL rule that when the home team is on the non-doubleheader network, games airing opposite that game cannot air in the local market.

The rule has nothing to do with Jerry since it's been in place since the 60's when Pete Rozelle came up with it.
It usually screws San Fran/Oakland, and New York the most because those are the only markets with two teams each. I think they keep it to drive business to the NFL Sunday Ticket.

It could be the simple fact that 99% of the people in DFW cannot name the Texans coach, or one of their players. It's simply Cowboys only!

After the *** kicking the Cowboys got, even though in a pre-season game, and the victory over the Colts I would bet they know now.

Stat, I posted this link in the other thread in the other forum. It covers games at the different time slot in cities with an NFL team and their restrictions.
