No team concept today....

Today was all about J'Covan and Jordan. J'Covan was on in the first half and Jordan could not find his shorts. In the second half the entire team came up short. TT and the rest of the "team" failed to make up the short fall. Really needed a win away from home. Typical for Texas basketball. So much hype with little results to back it up. Hopefully we'll see the better results heading into the big dance. Go Horns!!

looked eerily like last year's collapse - all rolled up into 25 minutes.

Hook'em!!!

Ironically we had the best assist to turnover ratio of the season in this game, built largely in the first half. Of course, CU did the same.

I wonder if Brown is smiling now, dumbass, per ESPN:

"After Dufault's jumper got Colorado within 45-31, Brown pulled up at the top of the key, calmly swished his fourth 3-pointer and then spun toward the crowd, smiling and admonishing them to "Shhh!" as he sauntered down court."

I totally forgot that they were playing at altitude today and short handed at that. That has to be what happened in the 2nd half. Not having Wangmene's 2.4 PPG was the difference. He plays and we win by .4

Duke blew a 6-point lead. Not a 22-point one. And Virginia Tech is about 40 spots higher in the RPI than Colorado.

Just because other teams blow games doesn't mean we can get away with it too. This team had such a great turnaround from last year, but then got into their own hype. We need to bury the "poor me" concept by tomorrow, or we'll get beat.

No doubt....Horns have played as a team in big games this season with great success. In fact, when they play as a team, not many can stay on the court with'em. "Today" team play could have been better in my humble opinion.

I have had things going on during the middle of the each of the last 2 Saturdays and have only caught glimpses of both games. Against Nebraska I saw we were close but still up by 8 or 10 and then I looked over later and saw we were down by about 10. Then against CU I saw we were up 18 near beginning of 2nd half and then about 8 minutes of play later I checked the score and Texas was down a few points. WTF. Glad our team fought back in both contests to make it close.

But can somebody who watched both games give me an Xs and Os breakdown of what we did to lose both of those games. I mean we had leads in both games and were playing well and then all of a sudden do we just go cold shooting or are we not playing as good defensively inside late in games? Is TT wearing down or what?

What bothers me about the CU game is it seems Texas forgot how to play basketball. The free throw shooting is a major concern also. Not sure what to expect now the rest of the season?

Exactly... I would have been fine with close losses to decent teams back in January. Or if it was the conference tournament. The timing of it all just sucks... very reminiscent of the 2010 collapse.

Tonight will be huge in determining what type of team is going to be our March persona. If we pull one out tonight, I think we're in good shape.
