Me too! Cause quite frankly...it looks a lot like last year's line-up. I wasn't really blown away. There are a few diamonds in the rough, but not as many as I like to see.
I am all about the free day shows, free night parties such as the Mad Decent v. I Heart Comics, than the lineups. I don't bother with wristbands (though I know it works for Unpainted and others) and I see just as many bands if not more than before.
Then again having that whole week off with pay every year makes for free time to have a week full of music and good times.
It's time to hit those blogs and sites to register for the shows.
I guess I should look to see who the free shows at Auditorium Shores are going to be, provided people across the water have not complained to City Hall.
I believe they are playing at La Zona Rosa, but still, your point is well made.
I never look forward to the larger names at SXSW. You have to be willing to look for diamonds in the rough.
J Tillman should be good as this is the drummer from Fleet Foxes and a couple of the original Foxes play in his solo band. So, in effect, this is another version of Fleet Foxes.
I'm determined to make this a point of discussion, but I think most of the traffic is being directed to "Ponzi". Anyway, the schedule is out and so are most of the day parties. Here are some great websites for SXSW information.
I have my wristband and have started to tackle the schedule. It's a bit overwhelming.
yeah, why don't you post all that **** on a message board so that a billion people can show up to the free shows. free shows are supposed to be a treasure hunt. ******* a.
