No subject, no sender email spam

I've been getting dozens of spam emails lately with no subject and no sender. Anybody have some good ideas for blocking them?

Are you using a free e-mail account like gmail or hotmail?

No, just the same email account I have used for years with my ISP. I use the Apple Mail program and it does a very good job of filtering spam, but with no sender to block, these new spams are getting through.
