No LHN for Comcast?

Sorry if this has already been posted, but while rewatching the game, they showed an ad for the LHN. It asked for Time Warner, U-Verse, Dish, and DirecTV customers to call their respective providers. Does this mean no Comcast service, or did I just miss an announcement?

Taps, do you really think I don't know that the website exists?

I'm just asking because during the game, they specifically advertised for those 4 carriers, and not Comcast. I'll try and remember to go back later and get a screenshot of it.

I believe you. They don't have the time in a 30 second spot to list every single provider. No carrier is prevented from adding the LHN. Comcast is listed as a potential provider on the LHN link.

the big cable companies will never bring it in as an extra fee stand alone network. the only way it will work is if they agree to bring it on as one of their sports package additional networks but espn will not agree to that.

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to switch from Suddenlink to Grande, so I'm all up in the LHN.
But if I where in your shoes, I would call Grande and invite them to your town or neighborhood.
It's worth a shot.

I called Comcast yesterday and complained... like it would do any good and asked them to at least give me the option of paying for it! The sales rep actually thought that was a novel idea... go figure! I also asked to get rid of all of the hispanic channels that I don't want along with half of all the other crap that they provide and throw me the LHN! Do you think it worked, **** no...

Wanna know how to get rid of a DTV salesman quick?

So I'm look'en at some software at the local 'lectronics warehouse. Guy comes up to me and says, "Excuse me sir, do you have cable TV."

As I respond, "Yes." I notice the DTV logo on his polo. I immediately point to his shirt and say, "When are you going to get LHN."

He got this funny look on his face and says, "We have an excellent sports package. We have . . ."

I interrupt him with, "If I can get LHN, I'll sign right now."

He immediately mumbles somethin like, "Let me go check," and begins to slink away.

I chuckle and say, "I'm a new customer if you have LHN."

I didn't wait for his return.

What I read was ESPN's contracts with DirecTV are up at the end of the year, and ESPN is waiting to negotiate the Longhorn Network with the rest of the ESPN Networks package.

Comcast folks will tell you to contact ESPN and request it.
Talking to them is worthless.
I dont think LHN will be available any time soon.
ESPN needs to do thier job and get it cleared soon we can actually watch it.

So the tally for us is this...

1 - blowout loss to OU
2 - crappy loss to Okie St.
3 - bye
4 - Game on a channel very few people have

Awesome.

So I will miss two games this year that I could have seen last year. And will be stuck in a crappy conference because of it. Awesome.

I may be mistaken, but over the last several years I recall that I was always able to find the UT game on TV, and certainly every Big 12 game for UT. Rice, ISU, KU, whatever, it was always on.

Now, I am sure that is not true for Baylor or TTech or even aTm, but UT is always on.

Until now. Thanks LHN.

What amazes me is that there are ads for TimeWarner all over the radio broadcasts and Mack's radio show as well as the walls of the stadium. But the most obvious broadcasting potential that TW has with the LHN is no deal. Go figure.
