Per the guys at Texas.247Sports.com are reporting per his HS position coach that Emanuel Porter, Dallas Lincoln 6-foot-5, 190-pound standout has de-committed from TCU... and committed to Texas! Another very solid get by Texas... 6 foot, freaking 5"!!!

UPDATE: Friday 6/14, 10:31pm...
Dallas Lincoln receiver Emanuel Porter just left Texas football offices about 30 minutes ago.

Porter, according to his personal trainer David Robinson, committed to Texas coaches earlier today via phone.

Porter then visited Austin this afternoon and evening with his mom.

Porter's mom has requested more time to think through the process and be diligent in advising her son's decision, and that's what head coach Mack Brown has agreed to.

So Porter has committed to Texas coaches but per head coach Mack Brown's policy and Porter's mom's wishes, the Horns are awaiting confirmation from Porter's parents before he can commit.

Porter this evening said he considers himself a "soft verbal" commitment to the Longhorns.

More news as it comes available.
