Much ado lately that the UNLV QB was leaving immediately because he had only received one payment of $3K against a verbal $100K deal. No signed docs and conflicting statements about whether a deal truly existed. UNLV is 3-0.

I don't see this boding well for their program...it also ensures an opportunity for sleazy agents who want a bigger cut to get the deals in writing, an opportunity for sports accountants trying to cover the money, and potentially a return to under-the-table payments to put more money in the hands of players...
In a way, it's too bad Derek is so loyal to Vegas...Texas could pounce on Vegas-area recruits and have Derek ponying up some NIL cash...along with team trips to Vegas, err home and home series with UNLV to start a season.
