Longhorn logo contributes a ready-made iconic design.
Nike's work done before the company opened for business.

NIKE LUNAR TR1 WEEK ZERO COLLECTION
Humm...they call it Desert Orange/White
, at $120

Eight (8) programs / shoes.
Big 12 - two - Texas, OU
Big Ten - two - Sparty, Ohio State
Pac 12 - one - Oregon
ACC - one - Fl State
SEC - two - Georgia, Alabama

Most rely on color saturating the shoe. Only one has a ready-made design that speaks for itself.
Notice the light gray 'horns' near the sole and elsewhere. No other shoe had the ability for that kind of touch.

Horn logo = utter simplicity.
S = k. log W ... Bolztzmann's equation, carved on his tombstone. Probability equation for entropy.
And of course, e = mc2

and the iconic logo

The link lists the prices of all school variations at $120, including Florida State. I thought....

Anyway, I know this is heresy, but after the Horns' shoe, the paperclip is not too bad. UGA, and of course UO suck IMHO.

The Horns shoe? Ranks in simplicity right up there with Euler's Identity ... e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0.

Exactly.

Tying together the logarithmic function, the imaginary number system, and the number pi.

Euler's Identity and the Longhorn Nike Shoe.

Greatness.

i would buy those shoes, if they were under $100. I can't remember the last time i paid more than $100 for shoes. (though i've been wanting to invest in some dress shoes that might last 10-20 years)

Have a reasonable number of plus $100 dress shoes, but don't think I've ever spent that for a pair of athletic shoes that will wear out in 6 months if you really use them.

Nike's premier shoes always impressed me as targeted to boys/men below age 25. I guess they are the ones with all the money!

Cool shoe. Not digging all the little longhorns all over the shoe though. Clutters it up, but overall, its pretty nice.

I guess none of you all are runners.

Runners normally spend at least $120 on shoes.

Think of it has your most important piece of sports equipment.

In baseball, would you spend less than $120 bucks on a bat?

I'd buy these for that amount, provided they are good running shoes.

A reject from the old Laverne & Shirley show.

Anyone wearing that should be wrapped in one of those see through bags and banned from Memorial Stadium
