Night Hawk

Drove by the new location of the Night Hawk five minutes ago.

ITS OPEN!

From doing a google search it has been opened for a couple of weeks already.

BTW the parking lot was packed. Might have to get some breakfast tomorrow morning there.

I think he's talking about the new location of the Frisco. Supposed to be not too far from the old one on Burnet.

Yes, the relocated Frisco Shop. Now farther north on Burnet, just south of Justin. In the former home of Curras, which was the former home of Good Eats. Which was where I once ate a chicken fried steak dinner after a double Texadelphia lunch.

i went in for lunch on the first day they reopened in the new spot

there was a line out the door

we didn't wait and hit marisco's instead

i am looking forward to trying it at the new spot though. looked nice on the inside from what i could tell

Had dinner there last Sat. Had to wait about 35 minutes, but the food was as good as usual. It is bigger, and there is a big area on the street side that was closed. I don't know if they don't have enough cooks or waitstaff, but it sure would have been nice to have that open and a shorter wait.

Had lunch there yesterday. I've been eating at the Frisco shop since 1992, and the food was great as always.

they've got a LOT of kinks to work out, though. They don't have enough expediters. The place is bigger and harder for the long-tenured wait staff to get around in. It took 25 mins to get drinks, 1.5 hours from sitting to get food.

They'll work it out, though. I'll be back in a couple weeks.

That looks like Harry at the old Frisco. There, or the old original on South Congress. Kills me every time I drive by t he old place on SoCo. It just didn't have to be this way...

I'll definitely hit it up when I'm back in town. I still miss the Night Hawk on the Drag. We used to walk there from 1918 Speedway.
