Amazingly enough the TCU staff actually went one better with 27 innings and only 2 runs surrendered.

This series is going to be one long huge pitching duel at the Disch.
 
I guess that makes sense. I figured if the runner had been Chance's it wouldn't apply, but thought maybe it would because the runner was Jungman's.
 
When Chance came in Texas led 4-0 and there was a runner on first. He inherited a 1 ball no strike count so the batter was technically Chance's because of the count not Taylor's even though Taylor had thrown one pitch to him. Thus no save opportunity as tying run was not in on deck circle when Chance took mound.
 
Doh, I meant 4-1.

I didn't realize it involved batters being up in a spot to tie. I was under the impression that 3 runs was what denoted a save. i.e. if Taylor gave up a solo homer and Chance came in when it was 4-1, it would be a save.
