NFL QB's Wearing Caps on the Sideline

1. Are the required to wear a cap?

2. Is nobody else allowed to wear a cap?

I'm not saying I watch every game that's on TV, but ever since "Starter" began making team caps 12 or 15 years ago, I'm not sure I've seen an NFL QB on the sideline without a cap, nor have I seen any other position player actually wearing a cap.

The NFL fines QB's $5000 if they are on the sidelines and celebrate a good play by the defense without their cap on.

Whatever gear a player wears on the sideline you can be certain that the maker of that apparel is paying someone - the NFL, the team or the player - to wear it.
