Next UT Junior Day

I'm sure it's been posted a couple of times, but who is scheduled to be in town for the next UT Junior Day?

This was a link posted previously. I would bet some things have changed since then though. Reports are that Barrera just committed to aggies.

OL Walters didn't make it into 1st Junior Day I believe but should the upcoming one.

Gotta up Mack reals in Walters, McAllister, Moss, Vaccaro, Gray in the very least. Hopefully McFarland, Okafor, Pratt commit as well. Hope they offer Blake soon as well.

Vacarro didn't verbal after the first Jr day and wanted to talk it over with his family. A lot of people think he may commit next weekend though. With our limited numbers, I can't see more than 7-9 offers going out to this group of prospects.

QB Kolby Gray
RB Ryan Swope
RB Johnathan Miller
RB Rex Burkhead
WR Jeremy Moore
TE Jordan Navor
TE Jerrod Darden
OL Joel Gray
OL Fitiseula Partsch
OL Mason Walters
DL Randall Dent
DL Kirby Ennis
LB Kerry Hyder
LB Tariq Allen
LB Austin Moss
LB Chris McAllister
LB Patrick Nkwopara
DB Kenny Vaccaro
DB Daniel Cobb
DB Roderick Goodlow
DB Kevin Brent
DB Craig Loston

shepard was supposed to come to the next jr day, but latest reports indicate he is leaning towards going to lsu's jr day with his rb teammate lipscomb. that's a big decision for us i think.. if he comes back 1 week after aggy brainwashing, and we're ok. if he goes to listen to miles spew stuff about the latest NC and the opening after perrilosers departure, and i think lsu is in the thick of things. i'm not feeling too strong about our chances with shep lately. i hope things turn around.. he is a super stud and a great kid.

Any thoughts on who's most likely to verbal next weekend off of the list posted by AAS, minus Barrera, of course?

from the way boards are sounding, it seems like we've screwed the pooch with Shep. I just hope to not be facing him once a year in the next few.

If Russell Sheppard see's himself as an NFL QB look for A&M, OU, and LSU to be the leaders in that game.

Hmmm....in his time in Austin Greg Davis has worked with two quarterbacks that have played in the NFL and a third that has been offensive co-ordinator at multiple D 1 schools. Russell could do far, far worse than play quarterback at Texas.

Just curious how Texas screwed the pouch? By being honest? How many people have actually seen more of this kid than a few clips on Rivals?

I have and there is no doubt he is a great athlete and damn dangerous in the zone read. Funny thing is Klein H.S. which was not the most athletic defense in the area made him look completely lost in the pocket and when I saw him again in the play-offs he looked far more dangerous running then throwing.

That is great if you are looking for another Pat White, but I am not so sure White will be considered much of a pro prospect next year and I don't think White would be effective in a more traditional scheme.

When compared to Texas, I'm not sure it matters what scheme others run or whether RS will be effective in such a scheme. He will commit to a school where he is this year's QB recuit. Texas cannot (will not?) offer him that.

I think what was meant was that, at Texas, he would not get as good of a chance to be a starting QB, considering the competition. But if you fear the competition, how can you be NFL caliber?

If we get Walters (and I think we will), we go 4 for 4 on the OL targets including two National 100 guys, and we shut it down.

Reel him in Mack. Walters is the guy I want a commit from the most this weekend, probably along with Brent and Allen.

Mason Walters was at practice yesterday and seemed to be having a great time. He was hanging out w/ Matt Nader, who is the teenage equivalent to Mack when it comes to recruiting.
