Next couple of weeks.............

should be very interesting............Charlie is good as gone (and should be, Texas should NEVER lose to KU in football anyway), Orgeron probably blew his audition yesterday down on the bayou even if LSU takes Aggy down this coming week. Which leads to Sumlin, Aggy didn't exactly mudhole UTSA and if the Fightin' Tigers can beat their *** in Collie Station (we can only hope) then Sumlin may be a goner and it looks like Sand Aggy may be growing tired of the paper mache defense of Kliff Kingsbury (66 to ISU good lort)..........boy is Herman sitting pretty and if Fedora wants to come home now is a good time to do it.

I suspect Herman was contacted weeks ago and the decision has been made to bring him to Austin.

Players will be told prior to TCU kickoff it is CS last game as HC at UT. Officially it will be announced after the game he has dismissed or reassigned in the University. Herman will be announced on the Sat. after the Friday game as the next HC.

However I could be wrong.

Herman is not the only hot prospect out there, a lot of folks like Fedora as well, but I too suspect that TH is the primary target now.

In any case, if Herman is indeed the one for 2017 I think this team could be improved immediately.

The right coach is set up well for next season!

Isn't there some state rule about having a job formally posted for week or two before a hiring decision can be made? I seem to remember this from Charlie's hiring. Also are there requirements for us to interview diversity candidates, similar to the Rooney Rule in the NFL?

That is a formality and easily worked around. There are already hundreds of resumes on Perrin's desk, and that is just the ones from Todd Graham.
