What in the hell am I going to do this weekend in Newport Beach?

Are there any restaurants I need to go to? Maybe some sushi or similar thing I can't get in Texas (eg., no barbeque or steak).

The Crab Cooker in Newport Beach is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere. My mouth is watering just thinking about the place. It's very casual (paper and plastic), but the seafood is as good as it gets. Last time I was there they still didn't take plastic, so if you go, bring cash. Will never forget going there one time and forgetting the cash only policy. I'd planned to use plastic and didn't have enough cash to pay. They said "No problem, it happens all the time. Just send us a check when you get home." Which is what I did.

Good call on the Crab Cooker. The local spiny lobster was one of the best shellfish meals I have ever had.

By the way, anyone who is in Orange County with some time to kill should check out the Nixon Presidential Birthplace and Museum. It really is an incredible museum, even if you are not all that interested in history.
