I must admit some satisfaction.

Seriouys question however - what happens to thair stars (heh).

For example, surely Micahel Owen isn't playing thrillerrs vs. Ipswitch town next year?

Do they have relegation clauses?

Obafemi Martins is a goner for sure. Probably the goalkeeper as well. What sucks is that I just started really following them this season. However, reading one of the Newcastle forums has been very eye opening. Makes me wonder how some of our belovedly sucky franchises here in the States would change their approach if there was relegation (e.g. KC Royals or LA Clippers).

Been a NUFC fan for a few years now. I cant say that we were one of the best 17 last season. Hopefully we will get rid of the dead weight and be back stronger in a year.

A lot of our players will want to stay on because no other team will pay their weekly salary. I think Barton makes about 60,000 GBP a week. Duff also makes something crazy like that.
