New Townhomes in Austin

The wife and I may be moving back to Austin in the near future.

Does anyone know about new townhome developments in the Austin area? I've found websites for a couple (Spicewood Development properties, Escondera, etc.). But I'm really not too familar with any of them, and just found these two via basic internet searches.

Any links to websites or other info would be very much appreciated.

I don't know of any specifically, but have you used Austin Home Search?

Click on "Home Search" on the left, and then enter your parameters on the Home Search screen. Under the drop down for "Property Type", you can select "Townhouse".

how much are you looking to spend?

There's some townhome developments just finsihing up near William Cannon and Manchaca that run from something like 190K-300K.

We're probably looking to spend somewhere in the $200k-$300k range.

If you are looking to be close to town but still have hill country views, you might take a look at Escondera. 15 minutes from downtown. 20 minutes to Lake Travis..

There are a few developments over on Anderson Mill Rd that llok OK. A friend of mine bought one at Avery Ranch back in November for $190K and its pretty cool. Almost all of her neighbors are young Dell folks and she has some sort of Golf privledges on the course. However, Its a trek into Austin if you have to do it at rush hour.

Escondera isn't too bad...I'm living there now. But I think they start in the low 300's. Very new, but very close to everything (downtown is about 10 minutes or so).
