New Texas Recruiting Target

There are a lot of reports locally that Texas has offered Devaunte Smith-Rivera of North Central HS here in Indy. DSR is a 6 foot 4 combo guard, very powerful who does a ton of damage going to the rack. DSR is currently a junior. He was originally committed to Xavier, but opened it up end of last year. DSR needs to work on his handle, but he is very effective at the HS level. His HS team won the big school state title last winter. There has some been talk that his game may not translate to the college level as he relies so much on over-powering guards.
