ok, was I the only one who got the **** scared out of them by that new t-shirt cannon thingy in front of the student section??

I just heard "pop, pop, pop" and then the student section was yelling and moving around. Wow...

When I saw the t-shirt gatling gun, I thought to myself, "This is the coolest thing ever" and "This is a nice distraction during the first half."

I was thinking we stole another dumb thing from minor league baseball. And if you want a t shirt bad enough to act like a greedy four year old, they sell them downstairs.

And while I am at it, how about getting rid of the stuffed animal looking mascot? Everybody has one and they are all stupid looking.

ANd the band should get hats that make them look like cowboys instead of the Village People,

whoa, whoa, whoa, this thread got way out of hand! Bands uniforms are FINE, and we do not need to get rid of Hook 'Em!!!

The only other thing I would change is the crappy music that the godzillatron during tv timeouts, etc. I counted at least 3 times when the cheerleaders were trying to get a "texas, fight" going, but the few people paying attention were drowned out!!

Hook'em doesn't need to go away. Our band unis have looked a little gay for years. I have accepted it.

Actually, that is the POM Squads uniform minus the mustache!!!

I don't like the local news guys coming on the Jumbotron and telling us something irrelevant.

We need to work on the functionality of the Jumbotron, I have to fight to not watch it at times.

- Band unis are OK compared to the plethora of major domo looking bands out there.

- I like the cute Hook 'Em mascot. I did not like "mean" Hook Em that patrolled the sidelines during the Ricky years.

- as far as advertising mascots, I hated Rex L Bat. I believe he got in a fight with a Tech band member and was never seen again. Not a fan of that stupid Gorilla either.

- Not a fan of the obnoxious "Hookem Horns" meteroligist guy.

- Bring back the Bevo "I got my game on" video.

I drive two hundred miles to the games and have for over 30 years and I hate the endless ads and cruddy music on the tron and I don't care how much money they pay for the privilege of abusing us with news of the official oral suppository of UT athletics or the official polish sausage of UT athletics or the bank on the drag. You wanna support UT athletics? Give them some money and STFU

and get the Cowboys off the field; none of them are cowboys but rather are a bunch of frats with expensive dude outfits.

And given that the state will be majority hispanic in a couple of decades and we have a jillion hispanic fans already, how about the band learns Jalisco, the best fight song in college football?
