New router and Wii problem

I just set a new router for VOIP(TMobile@Home if that matters) as well as a PS3 wireless connection. Since I have set it up, the Wii remote is all sorts of jacked up. The cursor jumps around like crazy.

I shut the PS3 down, but that does not seem to help. Any ideas what I can do?

Try turning off your VOIP router. If your Wiimote starts working again, there's your problem.

Also, make sure that you turned your PS3 completely off, not in some standby mode. (I don't have a PS3 so I don't know if it has one, but I know the PS2 did. So does the Wii.)

I'd be curious in knowing if that t-mobile router is the problem. I noticed something similar after installing it and just assumed the wii batteries were low or something like that.

Dumb question. I have the Tmobile router plugged into an existing one, and am running my computer/PS3 off of the original router. Is it possible to turn the wireless portion off the TMobile router, since the phone base is plugged in? Basically I am pumping another wireless signal for nothing?

Anybody know?

wii remotes use bluetooth, with uses frequency hopping whereas wireless signal is a direct sequence spreading and should appear as background noise. your ps3 wireless remote also uses bluetooth. could it be the batteries in the wii remote? maybe you should just try resetting the sync from the wii box.

If the wii and PS3 are really BT, I'm not surprised you're having problems as the router has a much stronger signal in the same frequency band to give interference to the BT devices. I have the same type of problem in that every time the cordless phone either calls or receives a call, I lose the wireless internet connection for a little while.
