Visions of the "location" next to Holiday Inn being a new entry under the thread of "Kiss of Death Restaurant Locations..."

Only one way in & one way out; possibly not enough traffic from the Holiday Inn to keep it afloat?

Cannoli Joe's will probably do OK. There's an Olive Garden up the road at Lamar and 290 that is always packed.

My understanding was that that Texas Diner place was cursed from the start and horribly managed. First, it was going to be called EZ's Texas Diner and had to change its name, then I read a review where the customer was told the whole kitchen staff had just quit and walked out only minutes before he came in ....

i drive by that holiday inn every day on my way home and i don't ever remember seeing it open. i wasn't going -- it seemed doomed from the start. very hard to get to. but when was it open? was it closed immediately?

i wouldn't be surprised if canoli joe's does well. not saying the food is good or bad (not a fan of italian personally). but the location is decent and that area is blowing up.

i work near there. ate lunch at the tx diner once. it took like 3 hours so i never went back. the canolli joes does look pretty gay.
