Creighton officials announced Monday that the April 19 baseball game against Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park was sold out just hours after tickets went on sale.

It will be the first game at the new 24,000-seat facility.

Nearly one-third of the seats will be assigned to the construction force and city leaders who were responsible for the stadium being built. Other tickets were purchased by TD Ameritrade as well as through a presale available to Creighton season ticket holders, faculty, staff and alumni and Metropolitan Entertainment and Convention Authority club seat holders.

More upper-grandstand seats might go on sale at 10 a.m. on the day of the game.

The game will be televised statewide on NET1, as well as nationwide on the CBS Sports Network.

Creighton will play its final 12 regular-season home games at the new stadium, which will host the College World Series beginning June 18.
