In another thread Outlook mentioned 11 teams he felt were competing for 8 at-large spots in the tourney. Here are the reocrds of those 11 teams vs. RPI top 25 and RPI top 50 programs. The Horns have the most wins vs. the top 50 and are tied for most wins vs. the top 25. And, as also mentioned in another thread, the Horns are the only one of these 11 to have two wins vs. RPI top 10 teams. None of this means we're going to get an invite, but we have played more top teams, and won more of those games, than any of the others under consideration.

Record vs. RPI Top 50

Texas 9-13
Iowa State 8-12
Kansas 7-10
Michigan St 6-6
USC 5-6
Vanderbilt 4-8
Michigan 4-9
Florida 3-11
BYU 2-3
Temple 1-7
James Madison 0-2

Record vs. RPI Top 25

Michigan St 4-4
Texas 4-5
Vanderbilt 2-5
USC 2-5
Michigan 2-5
Kansas 1-6
Iowa State 1-6
James Madison 0-1
BYU 0-1
Temple 0-5
Florida 0-7

Per Creme:
• James Madison took itself out of at-large consideration with a loss in the CAA semifinals.

• Creighton replaced Missouri State as the MVC representative by beating the Lady Bears. The Bluejays meet Drake on Sunday for the MVC's only bid.

• Drexel and Detroit could steal bids on Sunday. Delaware (CAA) and Green Bay (Detroit), the favorites in the those respective games, would be at-large entrants.

Texas is still in....barely.
