I need a mentor. Or rather just someone who is willing to answer general (and some specific) questions regarding my idea for a 2nd Income.
I'd like to start builidng new homes for sale in certain neighborhoods in S / SW Dallas. The land in these areas is appraised by DCAD around 2-2500, and comparables are selling for 90-95k. I have gotten very informal estimates of 50-55k for a 3/2 1300ish sqft. I am looking for both vacant lots as well as tear-downs.
Anyone know somebody who does this? I have some resources at my disposal (family friends, etc) but am looking for some folks who may want to lend their advice to someone just trying to start out. I really have questions from beginning (land purchase) to the end (tax implications from sale, etc).. Feel free to PM me or reply here.
