New Grill

So I need a new grill ,and want to spend less than $400. I have 2 young kids and I do prefer gas for ease.. (not necessarily for taste)..
So I found this interesting grill. It is from Char Griller and it has both gas and charcoal on the same frame, and for $50 I can add a smoke box to the side. It also has a side burner.. So I get a side burner, gas grill, charcoal grill, and smoker for $300 total. I will be keeping it in my garage and rolling it out to cook and then back in, so I should be able to keep it pretty much out of the weather... So anyone have experience with one of these or any thoughts?

Yea I got one of those with sidebox etc, its ok. It loses a lot of smoke and you have to feed the fire every 30 mins or so to keep the temperature in the smoker right. The gas part is nice to have. I like to have the brisket ribs smoking and cook dogs or shrimps or whatever on the gas. Get some tortillas on the side flame all at the same time. I have it outdoor but covered with a grill cover, dont see any rust yet after 1 year.

The meat from the smoker comes out pretty good but you do have to babysit it for most of the day is my biggest complaint.

where does it lose the smoke? It is due to bad welds or is it because the side smoke box is an addition?

I am asking because I have access to someone who could do some spot welding if the basic issue is 'holes'. If it is becuase of the lids...that would probably not be as easy a fix.

you can seal the side firebox with fireplace caulk, available at home depot and most other places.

This unit went on sale $50 off today, so I basically got the side smoker box for free. I got it about half way put together before the sun went down too much and it was too dark to finish. Worked on putting it together with a neighbour and it has gone very smoothly and I am very pleased with how sturdy it seems to be.
I read a couple of reviews that criticised the wheels, and I don't know if they have changed then or something, but they seem just fine to me.
