#7- Kabongo
#28- Daniels
#50- McClellan

Lewis was mentioned as someone that just missed the list. I think when it's all said and done that Daniels will be a top 20 player and McClellan will be top 40.

Great class already, but I can't wait until they land a big man.

Also, interesting is the new 2012 and 2013 rankings.

2012:
#4- Rose
#5- Reese
#7- Austin
#40- Bail
#48- Sulaimon
#54- Peters
Shepard not ranked in the top 60

2013:
#2- Randle
#3- Aaron Harrison
#4- Andrew Harrison
#8- Wainright (moving from MO)
#16- Jackson
#22- Griffin
#23- Frazier
Hamilton not in the top 25

Hopefully we don't f#*% these two classes up.

I assume the top priorities for 2012 are Austin and Rose, and I can definitely see us making a strong run for Shabazz Muhammad with all the Pac 10 schools being so terrible right now and our apparently strong connection to the West Coast. Noticed Khem Birch really bolted up there, anybody know if he plays for Grassroots and if our love affair with the Canadians could help us there? 3, 4, 5, and 7, and all at different positions? Check, please.

I guess it will be a monster upset if 2013 isn't our best recruiting class in history? Randle and the Harrison twins, who have conveniently already chosen different positions. Then you just have your pick of the litter on the perimeter with Wainright, Griffin, Jackson, Frazier, and Hamilton, who we should easily be able to take two of (if we want). The class is so perimeter-oriented though. Who else do we target in the post other than Randle? Tanveer Bhullar sounds like a pretty good option. Wouldn't mind going after his brother in the 2012 class either...

Damn I am so greedy, but all these guys actually seem like legit possibilities!

The Harrison Twins' game is very similar but when you watch them play it is very clear that Andrew loves being on the ball and Aaron loves being off of it although he is fully capable of playing point as well.

For the 2013 class, Wainwright and Griffin are more post players right now than perimeter & I don't think you want to touch the Bhullar brothers. Its nice that their huge 7 ft+ guys but they wouldn't be able to play for us or very many high D-1 schools without DRAMATIC improvement.

I honestly don't see how 2013 isn't a strong class considering all of the options, but this last year did do some damage in the eyes of a few. Not only that but Baylor's year has definitely changed the perception many had of them as they will provide our fiercest recruiting competition in state.

Can you do some comparisons for the Harrison twins? Make sure they are not too high-level or smh will get mad

the idea ut will just pick who it wants among the top texas prospects is pretty silly. bu, a&m and ou among others will be factors.

Yeah I'm really terrified of people wanting to go to OU right now. Baylor is going to get there's with shady AAU connections, but the biggest threat after that is definitely Kentucky as long as Cal is there.

I think the updated version of 2012 is probably a little more accurate with J-mike and Rasheed being ranked 28th and 30th respectively. Reese was too high and Rasheed was too low before.

The 2013 rankings are interesting to me. While I agree that Jackson is NOT CLOSE to the #16 player in the nation and that Isaac Hamilton should be in the top 25, I don't think Frazier is the #4 player in the nation and that the twins are 12th and 14th. Frazier is too high and they are too low.

I agree that UT will not have the pick of who they want in either class, especially with Baylor's recent success and the way the get players. But, I don't remember them having ANY players come from the Houston Hoops and I know none have come from the Houston Defenders Select, so their connections to these guys are not the same as their previous recruits. Not saying they don't land any of these guys, but I don't feel like any are locks.

A&M is not going to land any of these guys if UT offers and I that includes Reese. A&M is a good school with great facilities, but except for when Gillespie was there making interesting hires, they haven't been able to recruit with UT and I don't see that changing.

I will also add this. Who ever lands the better recruiting class in '12 will have a very difficult time landing any of the guys in '13. That would be the only reason that A&M lands some of the '12 guys. UT may not go after Reese or Rasheed with the same enthusiasm, knowing that the twins would not come the following year.

Why would guys as good as the Harrison twins, Frazier, etc. be afraid of competition though? Any other potential 2012 or 2013 posts?

I don't think they are affraid of competition. I just don't think they will want to go split time with someone when they don't have too. Even if they know they are better and could earn starting positions they would still have to share minutes with them. No reason too.

I don't think landing Austin, Cameron Ridley, or Shaq Cleare as a big man would affect Griffin, Randle, or Wainright, becasue they are Centers and Griffin, Randle, and Wainright are PF's they may be able to convert to SF by the time they graduate.

Landing Rose or Reese means that we would not land the twins though. We could land Rose/Reese and still go after Frazier and Hamilton, but once we land a PG in the 2012 class, we are no longer in contention for the twins.

I should also add that Baylor will not be the only competition for any of these guys. They are all high major guys that will attract every major D-1 in the country. It wouldn't surprise me at all if half of these guys go out of state.
