Dajaun Drennon, DE/TE 6-4, 235 lb (Slickerville, N.J./Timber Creek) is in town for the IFAF 19-U World Championship. He's getting more acquainted with both Texas (Austin) & the Longhorns since arriving last week as a member of Team USA and rumor has it he's going to be even more familiar with the Longhorns before he heads home from the event. The rising three-star prospect is planning on making an unofficial visit to Texas before leaving Austin. Drennon, who said he's very interested in UT, is in the process of trying to finalize the details with the Texas staff. "He's definitely interested in Texas"...Drennon said he'll be making the Texas visit with his parents & HS Coach, who are in Austin as well. More on this as it develops, or if it develops...

247Sports made contact with Drennon via text messages and he has been in-touch with the Texas coaches and he said the conversation went well. So well that Drennon's parents are going to visit the campus and tour the football offices this afternoon. You can count Drennon as being officially on the radar.... more as it develops!

Committed to North Carolina...

I watched a little of the US vs Samoa game on TV. Would like to see more of him but based on what I did, the kid can play.

Timber Creek had some studs last year and easily won state. The Link

My old high school buddy coached against him the year before. I'll have to ask him about this kid.

But is he SEC good?

Glad to hear recruits from other states still looking at us and wish the young man well. More importantly, represent USA, USA, USA!

Here's what my buddy said who coached against him:
"Drennan is a freak. Long, athletic, fast. When he fills out, he will be an animal."

Good stuff Alex... apparently he has impressed on both sides of the ball while working out with the IFAF U-19 group while in Austin! Hope Giles & Co. show him & his parents/HC around & vet this kid out.

Forgot to post this on Sunday, but the visit by Dajuan Drennon didn't happen due to flight conflicts and overbooking by the airline! We'll see what this turns into...

We will get to see one of his teammates in a couple of years. Timber Creek has a RB Zaire Williams going to WVA next year. And their QB just committed to Georgia Tech. That's alot of D1 talent on a NJ team not called Don Bosco.

Speaking of Penn State, wonder if any of them would be a fit with us. We could use a blocking fb and a lineman or 2.
